Armor

Armor is a type of Equipment, granting damage reduction to the holder.

When taking damage, your Armor first removes a flat % of that damage, then the resulting damage is dealt to both your Health and Armor durability.

Everyone begins with Common Armor, and armor is replaced with damaged Common Armor in most instances of revival. Upon death, the player's armor will be put in their deathbox and can be looted by other players. If a player is resurrected from their deathbox, and their deathbox still has their armor inside, they will be resurrected with the armor currently inside of their deathbox instead.

Armor can be repaired by using Basecamps, the Forge, consumable repairs from killing other players, powers (ex. Regenerative Armor), and Armor Soul. Armor Soul will also repair a player's armor while they are dead. Armor looted from enemy deathboxes will be restored to max durability. Armor looted from ally deathboxes will remain broken.

Higher rarity armor can be bought from shops or acquired as loot from bosses, Quests, Vaults, PvP combat, or hot zones shown on the map.

Remaining armor durability is visible above the player's health bar on the central HUD, and underneath player names.

Armor can upgrade during combat based on the damage dealt and taken from enemy hunters. Ascending Armor is the only way outside of looting deathboxes to obtain Exotic Armor.
